The truth behind the TRUTH

Truth hurts.

It’s really hard to face the truth. It is usually the one that wakes our hearts up, the one that pinches us so hard. It’s our alarm to reality.

Because of the pain the truth brings us, we habitually hide from it. We can’t face the truth strong enough. But have you not thought that the truth is actually necessary for our growth as a person?

See, spiritual growth can’t be attained without confronting the truth. John 14:6 says Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. It makes us realize that God’s truth is inseparable from His love. The cross was the proof for the truth and because of His love for us, it was made possible.

Jesus loves us so much that he can even speak straight to us. He didn’t do that so we can experience pain but for us to stand firmly on God’s word and thus, we can believe in Him. In return, we should also be willing to love others by the truth.

Truth is not easy to hear and words can do anything to us. But proverbs 27:6 says, Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses. It’s ok to be hurt knowing the truth than spending pleasure within lies.

The strength of God is made possible when we live our lives by the truth. We should speak of it and live by it.

God’s love came from the truth; let’s live by it every day of our lives.

God bless!
