Dating and God
How would you know if it’s already the right time to love?
How would you tell if s/he is already God’s best for you?
The answer?
It’s obvious.

Yesterday was the third installment of Friday Night Youth’s series on LOVE, SEX, DATING AND GOD.
Our pastor talked about some dating and love how-tos, based on what God and the Bible say about it.
Most teenagers don’t take dating that seriously anymore. I know people who date just for the sake of it. So they won’t be alone on Valentine’s. So that someone will shower them with gifts or affection. So they can have someone to show off to their friends.
A lot of people also abuse the phrase ‘I love you’ already. Many say it without even fully understanding the meaning and the impact of those three words.
All of us want to be loved.
But are we actually giving the best kind of love in return?
We need to remember one thing first before we take dating and love to a whole new level.
Even if we give the best efforts in love, it’s still not enough.
Because the RIGHT THING at the WRONG TIME is still wrong.
So how would we know if it’s the right time already? How would we know if we’re ready to love?
Pastor Dan gave three surefire signs.
1.) If you’re able to pay your bills already.
2.) If your closest friends and family approve of your relationship.
3.) If you can already love unconditionally.
“Love is when you wake up in the middle of the night just to give your wife a glass of water.”
And always remember that the right kind of love comes from GOD. When you love Him first, everything else follows already. If you put Him in the center of your relationship, it will last. You’ll know when he/ she is already God’s best for you.

“But how about my current boyfriend? I love him so much! I believe that we’re meant to be! He’s so handsome I can’t just let him go.”
Remember that love comes from God. And that the best kind of relationship is your relationship with Him. He’ll give you His best in the right time.
SAYING NO to SOMETHING GOOD TODAY for SOMETHING GREAT IN THE FUTURE is not a sacrifice. It is an investment.
LOVE IS ALL ABOUT TIMING. GOD’S TIMING.
Besides, if he/ she is already the one that God has planned for you, our Lord God will be the one to make a way for the two of you to meet again in the future. Either God is saying that He has someone better planned for you, or He thinks this isn’t the right time YET for the two of you to continue your relationship. A man’s life has different seasons. It’s like, you can’t simply jump from summer to winter, right?

If you’re single and waiting for God’s best, remember, do not search for him/ her right now. The heart is deceiving. The heart can make you do crazy things, and can even destroy your life if not guarded. GUARD YOUR HEART AT ALL TIMES.
Only the Lord can open it up to the RIGHT PERSON and at the RIGHT TIME.
If you are a girl, don’t settle into someone less than what you deserve. Don’t say yes to him just because he gave you dozens and dozens of flowers. In the future, someone might even make you a whole garden. Just wait.
If you are a boy, don’t just court any girl you find, just because she’s beautiful and sexy and you can show her off to your friends. In the future, you might find someone who you can show off to the whole world, someone who God personally picked for you. Just wait.
When you enter in a relationship, make sure God is with you! And He’ll bless the two of you and you’re sure to have that happy ending you’ve always been dreaming of. <3
We love because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19)
Have a happy weekend!!! <3
