Power of Prayer
What can a PRAYER do to your life?
Prayer strengthens souls.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20)
Prayer imparts peace.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
Prayer is an opportunity for us to give all what is in our hearts to God.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7)
Prayer shows our dependency on God.
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. (I John 5:14)
Prayer can be in forgiveness. Through prayer, we submit to the Lord and ask for his forgiveness.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
Prayer affects the lives of others.
I urge you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me. (Romans 15:30)
Prayer is a command.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. (Ephesians 6:18)
Prayer is simply communicating with God. It helps us to develop our intimacy and closeness to God.
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. (John 15:7)

Prayer is not our last resort, but our first option.
