Be a Blessing to Others!

Be a blessing to others!

Because a person of God is certainly a person of others too!

20 Little Ways of Becoming a Blessing to Others (aka these little things that we learned when we were children but somehow already forgot now that we’re grown-ups)

1. Greet at least one person everyday with a ‘Good Morning’ and a smile.

2. Always, always say ‘Thank You.’

3. Work those face muscles! Smile at people. Smile at silly, little things.

4. Say ‘Yes’ to the people that matter. It shouldn’t always be, ‘I’ll get back to you, I’ll check my schedule first.’ but rather, ‘Okay, let’s go out! I’ll free that day for you!’.

5. If you aren’t really rushing or doing anything, offer your help to people. They’ll remember it for the rest of their lives.

6. Be generous in your compliments. Words can give people hope.

7. Remember the little things about people. His favorite flavor of ice cream? How she likes her eggs cooked in the morning? It shows that you care enough to remember.

8. It’s never gracious to be late. Wait for people, if you must, but don’t let them wait for you.

9. As much as possible, don’t break your promises.

10. Always reply to people. Call them back, if necessary. It’s a common courtesy.

11. Write letters/posts to people randomly, even just to ask how they are. It makes them feel loved.

12. Always say your I-love-yous to the people closest to you. Never hesitate.

13. Give people a hug just because. You never know when they might really need it.

14. Include people in your prayers. Even just a short and quick one throughout the day.

15. Offer your shoulder to people who are weary and burdened. Offer your hand to those who can’t find their strength.

16. Listen to people. Silence is always appreciated in those trying times.

17. Always ask if they’re okay. Sometimes, they’re just waiting for someone to approach them and comfort them.

18. Never use the phrases “I told you so” or “I don’t have anything to do with that” or “It’s your fault”. No one wants to be reminded of their mistakes all over again.

19. Bring out the best in people, even if you have to give them the center stage.

20. Bring them closer to God, in any way that you can. Win over them.
